Darlington Raceway Is Another Option

Darlington Raceway is located in South Carolina, one of the 11 states without a stay-at-home order. That makes it a good option for hosting the first NASCAR race once the season returns.
Another reason for this is that the track is only a two-hour drive from Charlotte, North Carolina, a city where a number of NASCAR teams are located.
Hosting the first race after the coronavirus hiatus at the Darlington Raceway would eliminate the need for logging. In this case, the Darlington race would take place over the weekend of May 15-17.
What About Other States?
NASCAR is targeting the return of the season sometimes in mid-May. An even bigger priority is organizing the race on Memorial Day weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway, followed by the race at Atlanta Motor Speedway on the last weekend of May.
