Poker Night in America recently unveiled anew social poker appbased on its TV show.

The PNiA app is free to play and offers users the chance to win some exciting real-world prizes. That includes poker lessons from top pros. Users could also grab a seat in an upcoming taping of Poker Night In America.

How to get on PNiA

“Eligible players who download the new Poker Night in America app and play at least five hands will be automatically entered into the sweepstakes,” the press release announcing the launch of the app states.

After playing just five hands, app users will be entered into a sweepstakes that will see the winners, “join some of the biggest names in poker at the table, such as pros Phil Hellmuth, Doug Polk, and Shaun Deeb, and Hollywood star players like Jennifer Tilly and Brad Garrett.”

“We have been asked time after time as to whether there will ever be any way to join in the action at our Poker Night tables,” said Todd Anderson, president of Rush Street Productions, the company behind Poker Night. “Now we can finally say ‘Yes!’”

According to the press release, “The grand prize not only includes a seat at the table, but also the flights, accommodations and a buy-in of $5,000.”

About the app

Poker Night In America teamed up with social games developer KamaGames to create the Poker Night in America social app. It’s a standalone app that uses KamaGames’ existing “Pokerist” technology platform.

Daniel Kashti, KamaGames’ chief marketing and commercial officer, said “As part of KamaGames’ ongoing global expansion, we are opening our gaming platforms to a number of selected partners. Given their unique and passionate approach to the game of poker, we are very happy to announce our latest partner in Poker Night in America”

The app possesses many of the same features as KamaGames’ Pokerist app:

  • Sit-and-go and shootout tournaments
  • Scratch cards
  • A virtual goods store
  • A simple to use tutorial
  • Daily quests
  • Daily bonuses and achievements

The Poker Night in America app is free. You can download it from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

PNiA has tried a lot of idea to mix things up — including adding controversial playersand doing a one-off grudge match. There is even a PNiA-branded room at SugarHouse Casino in Pennsylvania.

Live Poker Night App

The app is just another example of something different from the show.

What winners can expect at the Poker Night In America table

App

Having appeared on Poker Night in America back in 2015, I can offer a sneak peek at what the lucky sweepstakes winners can expect.

Winning one of the seats to a Poker Night in America cash game will lead to playing $25/$50 no-limit hold’em. You would play against some of the game’s best and most charismatic players.

The stakes are high for amateurs, but at the same time, not so high for the pros on the show. Because of this, the game tends to be looser and friendlier than a typical game played at these stakes in a casino. PNiA makes a concerted effort to only invite pros who are “good for the game.”

Win or lose, it would be difficult to be a participant on the show and not have a good time.
